Guanlan Original Printmaking Base locates at the hometown of famous printmaker Mr. Chen Yanqiao, the pioneer of Chinese New Woodcut Movement; he is also a famous art theorist and educator. Guanlan Printmaking Base abuts on Guanlan Mission Hills Golf Club. It is jointly established by Shenzhen Bao’an District People’s Government, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Artists Association. It has been decided that a national original printmaking base with creation, production, exhibition, collection, communication, research, training and market development should be established as one union of Chinese printing industry. Printmaking Village, the core area of the Base, officially put into use in May 2008, is currently free for visitors for sightseeing.
